Submitting your tax return - using your HMRC online account or express submit
It will not be possible to submit a tax return unless you have a Unique Taxpayer Reference number (UTR) from HMRC - they use this to identify you.
There are two ways to submit a return using tax4doctors.
- One option is to use your HMRC online account details. This is also known as a Government Gateway login.
- The other way is called express submit. Express submit enables you to file without needing your own HMRC login. You will need to send us two forms of ID – one with a photo and a different one with your address to support@tax4doctors.co.uk. This can take us 24 hours to process, but we aim to reply faster. We will then enable this on your account. Please note that you will need a paid-up untied subscription in order to use untied express submit, and to submit your tax return to HMRC.
You will then need to select the right option from the select box on the Tax Submission page:
Click "Review and Submit Tax Return":
Then "Submit Return":
Select either "Your HMRC online account" or "express submit" from the "Submit using:" field,
If you have problems submitting, let us know.
